A book of evidence was served on a 76-year-old retired primary school teacher charged with sexually assaulting a nine-year-old boy eight times in the early 1990s.
The book was served on Leo Hickey of Realt Na Mara, Skevanish, Innishannon in Co Cork, at Cork District Court today.
Following a State application the case was send forward to 24 October at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
The accused was remanded on continuing bail until then.
Those bail conditions required Mr Hickey to reside at his home, sign on three times a week at Ballincollig Garda Station, have no contact with the complainant or witnesses to the case, and on his own bond of €400.
