A man has been attacked and seriously injured in Navan in Co Meath.
The incident took place just after 2pm at Tailtean Drive.
It is understood the man sustained stab wounds in the incident.
He has been taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Drogheda.
The scene has been preserved and gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
