New appeal on 16th anniversary of murder of Raonaid Murray

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information over the death of Raonaid Murray on the 16th anniversary of her murder.

Her body was found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary on 4 September 1999 at 12.33am, less than 500 metres from her home.

Raonaid, who was 17 at the time of her disappearance, worked at a clothes shop - which was then known as Sally West - in Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre.

She left the shop at approximately 9pm on 3 September 1999 and went with a friend to Scott's Public House in Dún Laoghaire.

She made arrangements with a friend to go to a nightclub later that night.

Raonaid left Scott's Bar at about 11.20pm to go home and change before going to the nightclub.

Her house was about a 15-minute walk from Scott's.

Raonaid's family has also appealed to the public for any information on her disappearance.
