Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Wicklow woman Anne Shortall have discovered a body.
The woman's body was found earlier this afternoon in a shed at Killoughter near Ashford in Co Wicklow.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is being held in Wicklow Garda Station where he can be detained for 24 hours.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy carried out an initial examination at the scene this evening.
The woman's body was later removed to St Colmcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown where a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
Ms Shortall, 47, had been missing since Good Friday.
