The bodies of a man and woman have been found by Naval Service divers in the River Lee in Cork city.
The bodies were recovered following a search at Custom House Quay.
The search began after a 27-year-old woman and a man in his 40s or 50s from west Cork were reported missing in Cork city centre on 4 December.
Both were last seen in the area and had been using the services of homeless agencies in Cork.
Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious.
Post-mortem examinations on the pair will be conducted later.
The discovery of their bodies follows the deaths of two homeless people in the city within the past fortnight.
