A Tree of Remembrance has been planted at a ceremony in Co Meath by the families of some of the Disappeared.
Around 25 family members gathered in Gibbstown Cemetery near Navan to remember their relatives.
Among those in attendance were Brendan Megraw's siblings Kieran, Sean and Deirdre Megraw, Kevin McKee's sister Phil and members of the McConville family.
The niece of Joe Lynskey, Maria Lynskey also attended. Mr Lynskey is the subject of a current search in Coghalstown.
Bishop of Meath, Dr Michael Smith, officiated the ceremony.
Today's event follows on from a prayer service held on nearby Oristown Bog in September 2013.
Organisers of the event say local interaction with the families and the subsequent publicity played an important part in the recovery of the remains of Brendan Megraw on 1 October.
The families hope that by publicising the event new information might come to light that will help recover the remains of the six remaining members of the disappeared.
