Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch have arrested 12 men as part of an investigation into violent dissident republican activity.
The men were arrested at a house in the Ardcarn Park area of Newry this evening.
They are all aged between 36 and 75.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Geddes said," Officers remain at the scene processing the suspects who will be taken for questioning in due course."
There are no further details at this time.
