A person is being tested for the Ebola virus at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
The Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland confirmed that the person, being treated in the isolation unit, had recently travelled in an area affected by the virus.
The person tested positive for Malaria and the agency said the Ebola test is being done as a precautionary measure.
