A 41-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Co Cavan yesterday evening.
The man was discovered with apparent gunshot wounds at around 7.15pm at Aghalane Bridge, Ballyconnell.
He was taken to Cavan General Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
