SIPTU members at Iarnród Éireann are balloting on Labour Relations Commission proposals to resolve a row over temporary pay cuts that led to a two-day strike last month.
The LRC proposals led to the company agreeing to postpone the introduction of temporary pay cuts.
SIPTU agreed to the suspension of threatened strike action this month.
The results of the SIPTU ballot are due in three weeks' time.
