German authorities have reportedly discovered 1,500 paintings seized by Nazis, including works by Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. 

German media is reporting that authorities discovered the art two years ago in a Munich apartment belonging to an 80-year old man.

The find was not disclosed at the time. 

It is reported that the collection is estimated to be worth €1 billion.
