Five men and two teenage boys have been arrested by gardaí investigating a series of violent incidents outside the Dáil on 18 September.

The seven, who are aged between 14 and 35, were arrested in a series of coordinated actions this morning on foot of arrest warrants.

They are being detained at various Dublin garda stations on suspicion of violent disorder.

Gardaí say three of them are linked to a dissident republican group.

All seven can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
