The newly-installed Bishop of Kerry, Raymond Browne, has said society needs to remember those who have fallen on hard times due to the economic downturn.

Bishop Browne was speaking at his installation ceremony in Killarney this afternoon.

At 56, he is one of the youngest-ever men to be appointed a bishop.

He told a packed congregation at St Mary's Cathedral that people are living in difficult economic times and there is no certainty that good times will return soon.
