Around 7,000 members of the Orange Order gathered in Co Donegal this afternoon for the Order’s only parade south of the border.

The parade in Rossnowlagh has been an annual event since 1978, attracting lodges from throughout Ireland, Scotland and even Canada.

Today's march gave members of the Order a chance to gather  to celebrate their culture and heritage, ahead of next Friday’s 12 July parades.

The event passed off peacefully with a religious service being held after bands paraded towards the beach.
