A 39-year-old man, who was arrested for questioning about alleged offences linked to the murder of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr, has been released unconditionally.

The man had been arrested in the Omagh area of Co Tyrone yesterday and was questioned at the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police base.

Searches were carried out on Monday as part of the murder inquiry.

A 22-year-old man from Omagh, who was arrested in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, England on Monday evening in connection with the same murder, is still in police custody.

Constable Kerr was killed in a car bomb attack at his home in Omagh, Co Tyrone, in April of last year.
