Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Aoife Phelan in Co Laois have arrested a man in his 20s.
The man was arrested at a house in the Portlaoise area and has been brought to Portlaoise Garda Station for questioning.
It is understood that gardaí are now involved in an intensive search of a building on the Timahoe Road in Portlaoise.
Ms Phelan, who is pregnant, was last seen at a friend's house on Thursday, 25 October, at Colliers View in the town.
Around 300 people gathered in the town last week to pray for her safe return.
