Gardaí have uncovered a major cannabis cultivation factory near Malin in north Donegal.
The plants have an estimated value of around €1 million.
Garda Superintendent Kevin English said the operation was uncovered during a planned search of a commercial unit on Greenhill Road about 3km from Malin shortly before 10am.
Two men, both non-Irish nationals, were arrested at the scene.
The commercial unit had been sectioned into separate rooms where cannabis plants at various stages of cultivation were found.
Supt English said a large quantity of plants had already been harvested and was ready for market.
Sophisticated lighting, ventilation and heating systems along with evidence of basic living conditions were also discovered.
