Two gardaí who were injured after a ramming incident in Limerick this afternoon have been released from hospital.
The two officers had been taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital after their unmarked garda car was rammed in the Castletroy area of Co Limerick.
The airbags in both cars deployed in the incident.
The man driving the other car was also taken to hospital but he is not expected to be released tonight.
Both officers are based in Henry Street Garda Station and had been responding to a call-out in the Bru na Grudán estate in Castletroy.
The car was rammed head-on as gardaí arrived at the scene.
The scene was preserved for officials from the Garda Ombudsman’s Office.
