Unions at Bord na Móna are to escalate their industrial action following a meeting in Tullamore, Co Offaly today.
Up to 1,200 workers around the midlands took part in a one-day stoppage last week over an outstanding 3.5% pay claim.
A two day stoppage is now planned by workers from UNITE, SIPTU and the TEEU on 27 and 28 June.
Bord na Móna has described this latest action by the unions as "an unhelpful escalation of action that will only damage the interests of the company and its employees."
