Luka Rocco Magnotta, who is suspected of killing a Chinese university student in Montreal and mailing the dismembered body parts to Canadian political parties, has appeared in court in Germany.
He said he would not challenge his extradition back to Canada.
Mr Magnotta was captured at an Internet cafe in the German capital yesterday after an international manhunt.
Canadian authorities believe Mr Magnotta murdered the student with an ice pick and hacked apart his body while filming the grisly scene.
Initial reports said the victim, 33-year-old Lin Jun, was Mr Magnotta's lover, but Chinese media reports quoted Mr Lin's friends as saying they were not in a relationship.
The case came to light after body parts were mailed to political party offices in Ottawa.
The 29-year-old was arrested at an internet café in Berlin where he was reportedly reading stories about himself.
