IDG Direct is to create 125 jobs in Dublin by the end of the year.

The company, a division of the world's largest technology media group, is establishing a new base for operational support in Dublin.

Located on Great Strand Street near the city centre, IDG Direct has recently recruited 60 people.

It hopes to add a further 65 positions by the end of 2013.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation Richard Bruton said there has been a strong flow of investments from world-leading companies in Ireland since January.

IDG Connect Chief Executive John P O'Malley said Ireland offered a perfect mix of core skills, education and an established infrastructure.
