A 26-year-old man is due to be brought before Derry Magistrates' Court tomorrow, charged with the murder of Lauren O'Neill.

The 18-year-old died following a shooting yesterday at a house in William Court in Bellaghy, Co Derry.

The man is also being charged with attempted murder.

Ms O’Neill’s 21-year-old sister, who was seriously injured in the shooting, remains in a critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Police say a man and woman, both aged 28, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender were both released unconditionally last night.
