A man has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with an attack on a pensioner in Co Antrim last weekend.
Christopher Mitchell, aged 20, of Ballyfore Park, Newtownabbey, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to his elderly victim after breaking into his home last Saturday.
The man, who was 72, suffered a suspected broken ankle and cuts to his face during the alleged assault.
Mr Mitchell is also accused of possession of herbal cannabis and stealing two bottles of alcohol from the pensioner's home on Doagh Road, Newtownabbey.
He will appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court via videolink next month.
