A body has been recovered from the River Bann in Co Derry after a 21-year-old man went missing there last night.

Police say a post mortem will now be carried out to allow formal identification.

Rescue teams, assisted by up to 40 volunteers, had been searching the area since 6pm yesterday after canoeists spotted a man in difficulties.
