Michael Lowry condemns those interfering with his right to due process

Independent TD Michael Lowry has condemned those who have made critical comments about him, urging them to stop prejudicing his right to due process.

Deputy Lowry said recent comments by various individuals criticising the gardaí for apparently not pursuing their inquiries were completely improper.

He added that they would be advised to stop attempting to interfere with the independence of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the gardaí.

There has been criticism in recent days of the slow pace in dealing with the findings of the Moriarty Tribunal, which were published last year and rejected by Mr Lowry.
