A three-hour meeting of the Fianna Fail Ard Comhairle dealing with the Mahon Tribunal has concluded at Leinster House.
Party whip Sean O Fearghail said there was "a lot of sadness and regret at what had happened", but "a firm resolve" to move forward.
He said around 90 people attended the meeting, nearly a full attendance.
Deputy O Fearghail said there was a consensus that there should be a root and branch reorganisation of the party in Dublin Central.
This would look at property owned by party units, including Bertie Ahern's former constituency headquarters at St Luke's, and any bank accounts associated with it.
He said there was widespread support for the party leader's actions in putting down expulsion motions against six people named in the report, who resigned from the party before this evening's meeting.
