A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his elderly father in Dublin in January.
Edward Boylan, of no fixed abode, but originally from Leighlin Road in Crumlin, appeared at Dublin District Court today.
He was charged with the murder of 74-year-old Edward Boylan Snr at Ravensdale Close in Kimmage between 6 and 7 January.
There was no application for bail, but Mr Boylan’s solicitor asked that he receive medical attention.
Judge John O'Neill granted legal aid and recommended that Mr Boylan should be given medical attention.
He remanded him in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 14 March.
