Two people have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of an Englishman in Co Cork last November.

Ciprian Grozavu, a Romanian national with an address in Bandon, and Catherine O'Connor, a native of Kinsale, Co Cork, were charged with the murder of 42-year-old Englishman John Forrester at Bridge House in Bandon on 12 November 2011.

Mr Grozavu and Ms O'Connor have already been charged with the murder of 27-year-old father of one, Jonathan Duke at Bridge House on 13 November last.

Inspector Brendan Fogarty told the court that the books of evidence in both murder investigations were well advanced and he expected both to be "dovetailed" into one book of evidence in the near future.

He applied to have both remanded in custody to appear before Limerick District Court next Friday.

Solicitors for both of the accused consented to the application and applied for free legal aid, which was granted.

Judge James McNulty remanded both in custody to appear again before Limerick District Court next Friday.
