Gardaí are questioning two people in connection with the murder of Melanie McCarthy McNamara in Dublin.
The 16-year-old died following a shooting in Tallaght last week.
Gardaí described the arrests of a 17-year-old youth and a 32-year-old man as significant.
Melanie died in hospital eight days ago after she was shot in the head at Brookview Way.
Her funeral took place today in London.
The two men were arrested in Athy, Co Kildare yesterday afternoon.
