Skeletal remains have been found by hill walkers in the Dublin Mountains, according to gardaí.
The remains were discovered at around 12pm today in the Slieve-na-mBan Óg area.
Gardaí in Tallaght, Co Dublin have launched an investigation following the discovery of the remains.
The Office of the State Pathologist has also been notified.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination by forensic officers.
