A man has been charged with arson following what is believed to be a petrol bomb attack on Castlebar Garda Station in Co Mayo overnight.
A man entered the station this morning at around 4am. He threw what is believed to have been a petrol bomb in the public office of the garda station.
Two gardaí were on duty at the time, but nobody was injured.
Emergency services attended the scene.
The man was arrested a short distance away and brought to Westport Garda Station.
