Three men have been arrested following an armed robbery at a jewellers in Co Meath.
A quantity of jewellery was taken in the raid on Emmett Street in Trim at about 4.50pm.
The owner of the shop, a man in his 70s, was assaulted during the robbery.
One man was arrested outside the shop and the two other men were arrested a short time later.
What is believed to be an imitation fireman was recovered by gardaí.
The owner of the shop was taken to hospital for treatment.
The arrested men are being detained at Trim and Kells garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
