Gardaí are carrying out an investigation into the report of an assault and kidnapping of a man in the East Wall in Dublin.
At 4.45pm a man was chased and assaulted by a number of men and bundled into a dark Volkswagen Golf on Russell Avenue in Dublin 1.
A public appeal has been launched for witnesses to come forward and to contact them at Store Street Garda Station on 01 6668089.
