A man has been charged in connection with the death of the Oughterard publican and school teacher John Kenny.
The man, who is in his late 30, was arrested in the city on Wednesday.
He will appear before a special sitting of the Galway District Court at midday tomorrow.
John Kenny, 56, was attacked and fatally injured in the pub which he ran on Oughterard's Main Street in the early hours of Sunday 25 September.
His funeral took place this morning at Oughterard Church. He was buried at Kilcummin Cemetery.
