NASA has not said when or where its decommissioned satellite will begin its crash landing back to earth.
In its latest update, NASA said it expects the satellite to descend this evening or tonight.
It has said it will not be passing over North America during that time.
NASA said it will issue more frequent bulletins with greater accuracy closer to re-entry.
If the satellite has not burned out, it will cross Ireland between 2am and 3am tomorrow morning.
