The trial is continuing in Waterford of four gardaí charged with offences relating to an alleged assault on a man in January 2010.
The jury was today shown CCTV footage of the incident at the centre of the case.
Sergeant Alan Kissane, Sergeant Martha McEnery and Garda Daniel Hickey all deny assaulting 38-year-old Anthony Holness, while Garda John Burke denies acting with intent to impede the apprehension or prosecution of another and acting in a manner tending and intended to pervert the course of justice.
The alleged offences happened in the early hours of 29 January 2010 at New Street in Waterford city.
Mr Holness was seen urinating on the street.
CCTV footage of the subsequent incident involving the gardaí, shot from a camera in the area, was shown to the jury today.
In evidence today, Supt Chris Delaney said that when he saw the footage in February of last year, he referred the matter to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission, which subsequently investigated the matter.
The trial is expected to run until next week.
