A 24-year-old man has been given a 12-year sentence for the robbery of €1.2m of jewellery from a shop at the Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin.
Ian Maloney, of Cashel Road, Crumlin, had pleaded not guilty to the robbery at Paul Sheeran Jewellers in September 2008.
However, he changed his plea during the trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
The judge sentenced Mr Maloney to 12 years today, with the final two years suspended.
