Gardaí have appealed for information after a man was injured and an amount of cash was taken during an armed robbery at a house in Dundalk, Co Louth.
Eight people, including three children and two teenagers were in the house at Ath Lethan, Racecourse Road, Dundalk, yesterday morning when five masked men entered the building.
Two of the men were armed with what appeared to be handguns.
An amount of cash was taken and the men made their escape on foot. It is believed that they had driven to the house and had parked a distance away, completing their journey on foot.
One of the occupants of the house, a man aged in his 30s, received non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for treatment.
