A 35-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he appeared before Drogheda District Court today charged with murder.
Douglas Ward, with an address at Loughantarve, Knockbridge, Co Louth, is charged with the murder of Niall Dorr at Castle Road, Dundalk on 14 October 2010.
Mr Dorr, who was 18, died after being attacked while walking home with two friends.
Judge Flann Brennan was told that the accused made no reply when he was charged with the murder.
There was no application for bail.
The judge remanded the accused in custody to appear in Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.
