An investigation is under way after two viable explosive devices were discovered in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The devices, found outside a house in Ballywaltrim Heights, were made safe by the army bomb disposal team.

The team arrived at the location at 11.50pm and the scene was declared safe at 1am.

A number of people were evacuated from their houses.

The devices were removed for further examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Bray.
