The Army Bomb Disposal Team has been called to a house in Co Louth following the discovery of what is believed to be explosive material.
The discovery was made at a house in Clogherhead at around 7pm this evening.
A number of other houses have been evacuated.
Officers from the Special Detective Unit are at the scene where a number of bags suspected to be detonators and explosives were found.
The area has been sealed off for an examination by the army.
