A man is being questioned in connection with the discovery of an explosive device in Maynooth, Co Kildare.
The device was found on a Bus Éireann bus, which was travelling between Ballina and Dublin on Monday night.
The man, who is in his 60s, was arrested in Longford yesterday afternoon.
