One man has been shot dead and another wounded in a shooting incident in Co Down.
PSNI detectives investigating the attack say they suspect the shootings may be linked to criminal activity.
The shootings happened at a house in the seaside town of Bangor at lunchtime.
Two men who were in the house were shot a number of times.
A man in his 50s died later in hospital, while the second suffered injuries not thought to be life threatening.
In a follow up operation a short time later, police chased and stopped car near Belfast city centre. A man arrested there is assisting police with their inquiries into the attack.
No members of the security forces were involved in the shooting and one line of inquiry being followed by detectives is the gun attack may have been connected to criminal activity and the illegal drugs trade.
