Two people who appeared in court in connection with a robbery in Dublin have been remanded in custody for a week.

The two, aged 16 and 18, will appear at the Children's Court again next week.

An investigation was launched into an alleged aggravated burglary in the Glasnevin area of Dublin on Wednesday night.

Five men entered a house on Botanic Avenue before ransacking it and stealing some property.

A 21-year-old occupant of the house was then taken at knifepoint to his car. He was driven to two separate ATM machines.

The man managed to escape but his car, an Opel Corsa with the registration 07 MH 1295, has yet to be recovered.

No one was hurt in the incident and some of the property taken in the robbery has been recovered.

Yesterday, gardaí arrested three teenagers in a follow-up operation.

A 15-year-old was later released but a file on him will be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Meanwhile, a fourth person, aged 15, was arrested in connection with the robbery today.
