A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with death of a woman in Mountrath, Co Laois.
The body of the woman, who was in her 30s, was found in a flat in the town shortly after 8pm last night.
The Garda Technical Bureau carried out a preliminary technical examination of the scene this morning.
Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is to carry out a post mortem examination on the woman’s body.
