A man is due to appear in court tomorrow morning charged in connection with the robbery of a post office in Rathmines, south Dublin.
Gardaí said the man, who is in his early 30s, went into the post office on Upper Rathmines Road this afternoon with what appeared to be a firearm.
He threatened staff and left with a sum of money before getting into a taxi and threatening the driver.
Gardaí said they stopped the taxi at Leicester Avenue, arrested the man and recovered the money.
