A 20-year-old Wicklow man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a shopkeeper in Arklow over a year ago.

Anthony Farrell, of Marian Villas in Arklow, is accused of the murder of John Deasy.

The 44-year-old father of two died after being stabbed.

A jury of nine men and three women has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial, which is due to get under way on Thursday.
