Gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry in their investigation into the death of a man today following an attack in Ballymun
The 48-year-old was beaten and kicked outside a pharmacy on the Ballymun raid at around 9pm last night.
He died from serious head injuries at Beaumont Hospital this afternoon.
Detectives say the incident happened very quickly and that those involved left the scene as soon as it was over.
They do not believe at this stage that the intention of the attackers was to kill the victim and have described this as a sporadic incident.
