2354 Dublin North West: Sinn Fein’s Dessie Ellis and Labour’s John Lyons have been elected after the seventh and final count.
Fine Gael’s Gerry Breen was excluded.
2353 Roscommon-South Leitrim: Sinn Fein’s Martin Kenny has been excluded after the fifth count.
2354 Galway West: Nobody has been elected following the fifth count. Independent candidate Thomas Welby has been eliminated and the count has been adjourned until 9.00 tomorrow morning.
Ten candidates remain in the race for the five seats here. Labour's Derek Nolan still has an edge over Fianna Fail's Eamon O Cuiv. At this stage he's ahead by 260 votes.
Independent candidate Noel Grealish is in third place following the fifth count, followed by Fine Gael's Brian Walsh. Another independent, Catherine Connolly, is next but may lose out to one of the three other Fine Gael candidates for the fifth seat.
2353 Galway East: The count in has been adjourned until 9am tomorrow morning for a recheck.
Just two votes separated Fine Gael's Tom McHugh from the Independent Tim Broderick on the seventh count, and Mr McHugh was set to be eliminated.
All of the votes of the remaining seven candidates will now be rechecked to ensure that each candidate has received the right votes.
It is estimated that this could take up to four hours.
2352 Cork East: Labour candidate John Mulvihill has been eliminated after the sixth count. His votes will now distributed between the last three candidates: Fine Gael's Tom Barry, Sinn Fein's Sandra McLellan and Fianna Fail's Kevin O’Keeffe, son of retired Ned O’Keeffe.

2339 Fine Gael’s Lucinda Creighton has told RTÉ any bad relations between her and Enda Kenny are exaggerated, and she has a very good relationship with him.
2337 Tallies suggest that senior Fianna Fáil politician John O'Donoghue is in danger of being eliminated on the third count in Kerry South.
Labour's Maria Moloney was eliminated in the last count and her 5.132 votes are being distributed.
2334 Dublin North Central: Independent Finian McGrath is 1,575 votes short of quota, but 2,766 ahead of Fine Gael's Naoise Ó'Muirí for last seat.
Fianna Fáil’s Sean Haughey was eliminated. His 5,348 votes are being distributed.
2334 Luke 'Ming' Flanagan told RTÉ radio he was humbled by the vote he received. He said it was time for a new type of politics to be practised by independent members of the Dáil.
On his first day in Leinster House, he said he would take a 50% pay cut and would be calling on all TDs to follow suit.
He also wants a 75% reduction in the number of councillors and a push to reduce waste in local authorities.

Independent Thomas Clarke has been eliminated after the second count and his 125 votes are now being redistributed.
Returning officer Patricia Casey told those in the count centre that she understands that having to eliminate the candidates one by one is tedious.
But she added that the count had to be carried out according to the rules, and that involved eliminating candidates one by one.
2257 Speaking to the RTE's Election 2011 programme, Fianna Fáil’s Willie O’Dea said he was very glad to be one of the few survivors of the party and managed to retain his seat.
He was elected on the sith count in Limerick city when he passed the quota of 8,638, with his final vote of 9,424.
He said it had been a very difficult campaign, on the back of very difficult decisions which had to be taken by the Government.
He said the party in government has to run the economy and run the country.
But it also has to run itself as a party, he said, and that was lost sight of.

2256 David McCullagh: We now know the share of the vote each party received - Fine Gael is on 36.1%, its best result since November 1982, although it is likely to get a higher seat total; Labour marginally beat its previous best result, in 1992, to take 19.4% of the first preference vote; Fianna Fáil had its worst election ever, on 17.4%; Sinn Féin took 9.9%; with a share of just 1.8%, all six Green TDs have lost their seats; and Independents and others have 15.2%.

Mr Ó Cuív said the results for his party around the country are a ‘huge disappointment’, but he said the organisation can rebuild by addressing the grassroots support.
He said the focus must be on the next local elections for a way forward for Fianna Fáil.

He said he was disappointed that so many of his former TDs had left the party when it most needed them.
He said hard decisions had to be taken, and it was very difficult to bring in a savage Budget and then expect the victims of that Budget to vote for Fianna Fáil.
He praised the efforts of FF leader Micheál Martin to bring the party back from the brink, and he regretted that he did not take over sooner.

‘The country can't borrow money and the banks can't borrow money. We're up to our necks here.
‘I do think that people need to have explained to them the scale of the mess that's here.
‘The sin of the last Government was that they did not tell the people what their progress or what their lack of progress was.’
Mr Kenny said Fine Gael would not waste any time in putting a government together.
‘We will look at whatever options there are for the formation of a government and we will get on with that very quickly.
‘I don't want a situation where this will be dragged out. We don't want the wrong signals of delay going to European governments and beyond.’
2216 Longford-Westmeath: Poll topper Willie Penrose of Labour was elected on the second count.
He became the first ever Labour politician to top the poll in four consecutive elections.
The second count in Keenagh, Co Longford, also brought the end to a political era as Mary O'Rourke was eliminated.
After the two rounds of counting, the former minister fell almost 8,500 short of the quota.
Her 3,101 votes are now being distributed.

Mr Ahern has been a TD since February 1982 and topped the Poll in 2007.
He said it was the brave and honourable thing to have run in this election, and he wished his rival the retired TD Ned O’Keeffe well.
Mr Ahern has just been formally eliminated after the third count.
Ned O’Keeffe's son is fighting for the only possible Fianna Fáil seat. The party has held a seat in Cork East since 1927.
2118 Dublin South-East: Labour says it is on course to elect two candidates, Ruairi Quinn and Kevin Humpheys, on a third of a quota. It says this is down to 'great vote management'.

2049 Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin has congratulated Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore on their election results today.
Mr Martin said he was under no illusion about the challenges that faced Fianna Fail in this election.
He said he hoped to achieve 20% support, but today's result will fall short of that and could only deliver as many as 22 or 23 seats.
Despite the loss of so many Fianna Fáil seats, Mr Martin said he is looking forward to leading the party through ‘a period of renewal and in regaining the trust of the public.’
He said Fianna Fáil needed to be more open and he invited more young people and women to join the party.

1933 Tipperary North: Independent TD Michael Lowry has described his election on the first count with over 14,000 first preference votes as a ‘career best’ and ‘exceptional’.
He said the people of Tipperary North understood that the decisions he had made in supporting the government were in the national interest and in the interest of the constituency.
Asked would he consider re-joining Fine Gael, he said he had learned to take one day at a time.
But he went on to say that he had a mandate as an independent and he would see out that mandate.
He said if it did arise that Fine Gael was in a position to form a government with the support of independents, then he would support them as an independent.

Mr Gormley said it had been a difficult period.
