Four men were arrested after gardaí seized €456,000 of cannabis in searches in Wicklow and Dublin yesterday.
Two of the men were arrested in Wicklow yesterday afternoon after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €144,000 were discovered.
The other two men were arrested after herbal cannabis worth €312,000 was found in follow up searches in Wicklow and Dublin.
The men are being detained at garda stations in Baltinglass, Carlow and Kevin Street in Dublin.
The seizures were part of Operation Nitrogen and were carried out by the Garda National Drugs Unit, with help from gardaí in Baltinglass, Tallaght and Kevin Street.
